first, prepare the crust:
2 cups rice flour
6 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons shortening
-mix and roll out into two pie crusts-
-put crusts in fridge to wait-
second, prepare the filling:
6 freshly picked red apples
-peel and slice thinly-
-put in bowl-
on top of apples place…
1/3 cup rice flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon nutmeg
.5 tablespoon cloves
-mix into apples-
-eat an apple slice to make sure the spices are properly proportioned, if not, let it be-
melt some sugar and water in a pot
-pour over apples-
-pour apples into pie crust-
chunks of butter
-place on top of apples-
-place second pie crust on top of apples-
-draw a picture with a knife on top crust-
I like to draw trees, like apple trees and such.
egg wash: 1 egg yolk and some water to thin
-beat and spread over top pie crust-
450 degrees; 30-40 minutes
