About

“And Israel blessed his son saying, ‘Naphtali is a hart set free, bearing beautiful words.’   My mother said to me, ‘May your life be always filled with beautiful things.’ ”

-Naphtalia-

Naphtalia made it to today thanks to the discovery of three mysteries.  First, she learned that somewhere there was an everlasting King pursuing her as His bride.  He caught up to her.  Although His sensational presence frightened her from time to time, she eventually noticed that her fears were those of the “letting go” sort.  Once she released her own weak hold on her life, His strength came into her heart at once like a flood and a calm lake.  It was mysterious and magical.

Second, Naphtalia discovered the mystery of sound.  In the wind, she heard all of life in its invisible form–the chirping robin, the padding rain, the whistling mother.  Curiosity was born.

Lastly, Naphtalia discovered the mystery of words.  She found that words could take all sorts of shapes and sizes, colors and tastes in her mouth.  They could be chopped up like celery or rolled out like a pie.  They could be bought, sold, or bartered with.  They could be clothed with, uncovered with, lied with, and loved with.  This strange communication fascinated and challenged her.

Now living in rural Indiana, Naphtalia accepts the challenge to combine and portray these mysteries as a teacher, sister, friend, musician, and internet-er.

Welcome to Naphtalia, where every day life is art and beauty and words and free.
