Present Peace

I read today, “If you are depressed, you are living in the past.  If you are anxious, you are living in the future.  If you are at peace, you are living in the present.” (Lao Tzu) If then I am at peace when I am talking to you, it seems doubly true that you are my present.

    1. I appreciate your comment, John. Isn’t it interesting the way we all interpret syntax differently? When I read the statement above, I think not that the peace is coming from the outside, but that there is peace abounding in certain relationships. The source of peace comes from the inside, but it is felt on the outside. I have often lived that where there is peace, there is the path I follow. I seek true peace that resonates with my spirit. I am curious how you would comment on some other posts at Naphtalia–search “peace” in the search box at the bottom of the blog page. Thanks so much! Have a lovely day! -N
